To make a brilliant work of art? To bring people together? To enlighten? Can you do such a thing in three or four brief weeks of standard rehearsals? Why do some declare every show to be great? Are they?
I second Grotowski: no. It won't be the brilliant work of art unless it transcends itself by accident. You've seen what they can do in the lab, the real place, where they can eventually figure out a method for each show for transcendence by invention. But, to second Scott, my Meisner teacher in London, any show is a hell of a group effort, and no one wants to make a bad show.
